Barry wins '07 "Dolphin" for Jazz

Barry was awarded the 2007 North Coast Music Entertainment Industry "Dolphin Award" for Jazz, for the title track from his new easy listening CD in a latin jazz groove entitled "The Big One" (the song itself is a tongue-in-cheek take on ubiquitous dream of winning the lottery). The award was presented at the recent red-carpet event held at "The One" night club in Lismore. That takes his swag of Dolphins to 5, including two for best blues artist and (back in the days when the Dolphins went through a more arty period) one for A Capella song and one for Music Theatre.

"Next Time" - new CD of Baz originals plus more, with Slim Pickens

The long-awaited new CD with Slim Pickens, entitled Next Time is "in the can" and is just going through the mastering satge. We hope to release it in the next few weeks. It features somer great playing by guest artists harmonica wizz Doc Span, local bad-boy hero Dave Rankin on Trombone and some scintillating violin by Glenny Rae. Baz signs with MGM
	Barry has just signed a CD distribution deal with Australia's last and only independent music distribution Company Metropolitan Groove Merchants (MGM) headed by the one and only Sebastian Chase.

	Slim and Baz have just finished making a fun video clip of Baz's tongue-in-cheek country blues foot-tapper "Blues and Roots Music" off their new CD "Next Time". 25 years playing "the Bruns"
	This year Barry celebrates his 25 year as a regular featured artist at the beautiful Hotel Brunswick, down by the river in Brunswick Heads. Thanks to owners John and Delvine Cornell, to Terry and Trish, and to managers Dave and Anna, for a lot of good times, great support, a fantastic friendly atmosphere and good food. It's the best music venue in the known universe, hands down!
